RAT BOI
Recently I’ve been updating my wardrobe with long-lasting pieces that I truly love. To be honest, I've always been hesitant to commit to a purchase and have been known to keep an item saved in my bookmarks for years, no joke!
While it does help reduce impulse purchases, it also restricts expressing myself in the way I want. On top of that I’ve become more conscious of where I buy clothes from. It’s difficult to purchase from a brand if you’ve never heard of them before or don’t have the ability to try on an item. Factor in higher prices and I become even more hesitant.
I did a lot of research and a lot of waiting when I discovered RAT BOI. The basics are very cute and I love the variety of color options. I knew this brand would fit the style I was aiming for. However, being on the more petite side, I didn’t know how things would fit even after reading reviews.

I was pleasantly surprised with how soft and luxurious the fabric felt! Just touching the top, I immediately knew I had to get another item from the basics line in the future. It’s thin and lightweight, but not see-through which is so appreciated considering this top hugs the body.
The sizing is pretty accurate as long as you properly measure yourself. I can’t emphasize measurements enough, especially with the Lined Contour Tube Top. Even with more fitted clothing, I’m used to getting Small so I’m comfortable. But to be fair, I’d probably be a bit more comfortable with X-Small so it doesn’t feel like I have to keep pulling the top back up even when it’s okay. If you purchase a tube top for the first time, think of it as a bra.
The Ballet Bolero (aka the arms) might be a hit or miss because there are no actual measurements except for a regular top sizing guide. I also purchased a size Small for this, but I’d recommend sizing up. It just felt a little tight around the armpit area, but not super uncomfortable or irritating.
While these pieces might not be super accurate to my size, I believe they will still be in my wardrobe and outfit choices for a long time. I love the style and I love the brand’s values.
