Your Worth Isn’t A Size
Fashion sizing is one of the most frustrating parts of shopping. One day you’re a size small, the next you’re a large, and sometimes both in the same store. It doesn’t make any sense!
Because it’s not meant to.
For the longest time, I thought that if I didn’t fit into a certain size, it meant something was wrong with my body. We’re constantly told that smaller = better, but why? Who decided that a single digit or letter should measure our beauty, health, or confidence?
The truth is, fashion sizing is inconsistent and, honestly, meaningless. Depending on the brand or style, I can wear anything from XS to XL. That’s how arbitrary it is.
Your Body Is Not the Problem
If your body doesn’t “fit” into a size, the problem isn’t you. It’s the sizing system.
Your body is not meant to shrink or mold itself into a standard that was never designed with inclusivity in mind. Your body is unique.
Fashion and style is about how you feel. It’s about comfort, creativity, and self-expression. The best outfits aren’t the ones that fit a specific size chart, they’re the ones that make you light up when you look in the mirror.
Fashion Should Be Fun, Not Stressful
Clothes are just pieces of fabric sewn together. They’re meant to serve you, not the other way around. Don’t let a number on a tag dictate your joy.
Size up if you need to. Try something on in three different sizes! Grab the piece that feels the best, not the one that “proves” anything.
Because at the end of the day, no one can see the size you’re wearing. What they notice is your confidence, your energy, and the way you carry yourself.
A Loving Reminder
You are beautiful regardless of size. You are worthy regardless of numbers. You don’t need to earn your way into a pair of jeans or justify why one store’s “medium” doesn’t fit like another’s.
Fashion should feel freeing, playful, and empowering. So the next time you step into a fitting room or shop online, remind yourself: the tag doesn’t matter. How you feel does.
Love yourself a little more today, and every day.
