Matcha Mango Sticky Rice Latte

An unexpected combo of flavors that just works!

Inspired by the beloved Thai dessert mango sticky rice, this latte takes those flavors and reimagines them into something sippable, dreamy, and totally unique. It’s creamy, sweet, earthy, and rich—all layered beautifully into a drink that feels both indulgent and refreshing.

It might sound fancy, but it’s surprisingly easy to make at home. No café lines, no mystery ingredients, just good vibes and a few pantry staples.

What You’ll Need:

Matcha Base

  • 1 tsp matcha powder

  • 1/4 cup hot water

  • 1/2 cup milk of choice (I love oat milk!)

Coconut Cold Foam

  • 1/2 cup heavy whipping cream

  • 1/8 cup unsweetened coconut milk

  • 2 tbsp white sugar

Sticky Rice

Toppings

  • Juicy mango slices

  • Sesame seeds

How To Make It:

Prepare the Sticky Rice

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine coconut milk and sugar. Slowly stir in the cooked rice. Stir until the mixture thickens and becomes sticky. Remove from heat and let it cool.

Make the Coconut Cold Foam

In a separate cup, blend the heavy whipping cream, coconut milk, and sugar using a handheld frother or electric whisk. Whip until soft and smooth. You want it pourable, not stiff.

Whisk the Matcha

In a small bowl or matcha whisking bowl, combine your matcha powder and hot water. Whisk vigorously in a zigzag motion until frothy. Set aside.

Layer Your Latte

Start by layering your ice, milk, and matcha. Optional: add sweet rice to the bottom of your cup first for a similar texture like boba!

Top your drink with your coconut cold foam and add your sticky rice and mango slices along the side of the cup for a pretty presentation.

Sprinkle with sesame seeds for a finishing touch!

This Matcha Mango Sticky Rice Latte might sound like a wild combo, but once you try it, you’ll wonder where it’s been all your life. It’s one of those drinks that sparks conversation, feels like a treat, and brings serious café vibes to your own kitchen.

So go ahead—whisk, whip, layer, sip. And don’t forget to take a pic before you stir it all up. This one’s a stunner.
