Snow Queen
During the holidays, I love all the outdoor activities, especially driving up to the mountains to see the snow. However, this year is definitely very different. Due to restrictive travel rules, social distancing, and having to stay indoors a little more, I’ve challenged myself to creating indoors.
Challenge 11: Indoor Holiday Portrait Ideas
You can still capture the magic of the season from the safety of your own home! I came up with a list of fun, simple concepts for you to try out.
Don’t forget to tag #CreateWithChelle if you post your photo on Instagram! I’d love to see what you create.
Wrapping Presents
Grab a box, grab some paper, and dress up in your favorite pajamas! I chose to wrap presents in bed, but you can take this concept anywhere. Capture this idea wherever you feel most comfortable and scatter your supplies all around you.
Ornaments As Earrings
Warning: DO NOT put ornament hangers directly into your ear! Instead, hang an ornament onto an earring to create your own festive jewelry. And that’s all it takes! If you want a little more sparkle, add some other accessories and fun makeup.
Candy Cane Hearts
Spread a little love by shaping your candy canes into a heart. A candy cane as a prop is super simple, but clearly represents the holidays!
Naughty & Nice List
Play around with perspective by using a long roll of paper. If you want to be a little cheeky, put the names of those who you think have been naughty or nice this year!
Snow Queen
I don’t live in a snowy region, so I had to create a little snow magic in Photoshop to live out my vision! This can be up to any kind of interpretation. I think what’s most important is how you play around with the makeup! I’m not great at makeup, so I kept it simple, but you can really go wild with this.
Hope you were able to find some inspiration! Happy Holidays!
