Flower Fields Photoshoot

Growing up in Carlsbad, visiting the Flower Fields was always a must each year. Fortunately, I can still make a day trip to my hometown and visit the Flower Fields each spring. The weather is always sunny and warm and the fields burst into a rainbow of color.

Sometimes it can be difficult to shoot in the harsh sunlight, so this year I decided to take the Flower Fields home with me! Specifically, I decided to get a souvenir this year. The ranunculus flowers make for a beautiful bouquet with all the colors and wild growth.

If you get the chance, visiting the Carlsbad Flower Fields is definitely worth the trip! Plus, afterwards you can grab a bite to eat and relax at the beach! I did take some photos while I was there (coming soon), but this is what I decided to create at home.

I will forever be in love with the flower top trend that took off a couple years ago. Flowers and nature has always been a huge element in my photography. Plus, this trend just has so many possibilities with all the different seasonal blooms and fashionable stylings.

And after becoming more comfortable shooting indoors, Iā€™m so happy to have been able to create and recreate ideas that work better with a simple background.

With how bold the flowers are on their own, I decided to let them shine and be the main focus of the photos. Pairing the whole look with some satin white shorts and a neutral backdrop.

The results left me feeling confident and beautiful! Iā€™m so happy with how the photos turned out and that I was able to bring the memories of the Flower Fields home with me.

P.S. I got the shorts from Etsy! It came with a set, but here are some alternatives if you are looking for a pair of lace shorts.
