50 Things I've Actually Done At Home

 

It's almost been a complete year since I lost my job due to COVID-19. Like many, I've spent most of my days at home bored, confused, frustrated, and all other sorts of emotions. Just a little reminder, there is absolutely no right or wrong way to dealing with such unprecedented situations. If you’re still taking it day by day that is perfectly okay!

The internet can be quite deceiving and while it might look like tons of people are back to “business as usual” or traveling more frequently, that isn’t exactly accurate. Don’t feel pressured to start hustling again. If you’re still in a weird mental state, it is important to keep focusing on your own well-being.

Adjusting to this “new normal” isn’t easy at all. In general, I can keep myself entertained. But I must admit, I have not done everything from my previous blog post 50 Things To Do At Home. Realistically, I'm not interested in everything I listed previously. Even though I said I was doing certain things, well…let’s just say I don’t even own a puzzle! So, this is what I've actually done instead.

  • Lots of guilt-free naps

  • Cook a healthy meal & drink more water

  • Journal three things I'm grateful for each day

  • Create a list of goals without strict timelines

  • Clay facemasks once a week in bed

  • Find new music to listen to and dance along

  • Unfollow toxic people on social media

  • Set boundaries with toxic people in real life

  • Acknowledging and accepting my feelings

  • Work on voicing my real thoughts & opinions

  • Play Animal Crossing

  • Play Final Fantasy XIV

  • Read online books & comics

  • Online shopping/browsing

  • Learn about SEO & Marketing

  • Watch tons of cute animal videos

  • Read informative & positive news articles

Tidy Up

  • Shower, get dressed, brush teeth

  • Disinfect phone and other gadgets

  • Declutter rooms one at a time

  • Wash the dishes every morning

  • Clean cat litter boxes

  • Donate unwanted clothing

  • Rearrange items in the kitchen

  • Fold the laundry

  • Deep clean the bathroom

  • Wash & vacuum the car

  • Research new recipes
