There's no denying loving a good sale! But when prices seem crazy low, especially online, it seems too good to be true. Enter Shop LC.
Shop LC actually reached out to collaborate on Instagram and as always I approach these types of collaborations with a lot of skepticism and interest. Many of the items have extremely high saving percentages ranging from 60-90% and it makes you question if these items are actually legit.
To be honest, the website feels a bit outdated which kind of adds to the skepticism. It's no surprise though. A little bit of research can tell you Shop LC was originally a cable television network show that sold jewelry. Think late night infomercials that your grandma would call into.
That seems a bit harsh to say, but with modern technology and design it's hard not to be put off. Even half of the online reviews express extreme dissatisfaction. Regardless, my curiosity won and my overall experience was great!
Upon receiving my items I was so surprised with the quality! Everything looked like the product photos and you can just feel the quality. I got a bag and a necklace and both are so beautiful!
The bag is sturdy with accurate stitching detail, no loose threads or flimsy pieces. A little confession— I'm not a huge bag/purse person, but for several years my mom would insist on gifting me a luxury bag such as Michael Kors or Coach for my birthday or Christmas. And honestly, those are great bags that last for many years, some of which I still have!
I can't really predict that this Shop LC bag will last for a long time, but I can say that fresh out of the box this bag feels luxurious and can stand up next to the bags I used to browse in the store. Plus, I love the heart-shaped design and floral details! It's perfect for Valentine's Day or a romantic date. And I prefer smaller bags, so this one is great for all my essential items.
The second item I got was a Zodiac Pendant. Unfortunately there was not a Pisces symbol, but I thought the Virgo design was second best as I love all things nature. It doesn’t blantanty shout “zodiac symbol,” so I feel like I can pair this necklace with several other pieces.
It's lightweight, but not to the point of feeling like a fast-fashion accessory. Reasonably priced, but looks as if it would cost more. Compared to other zodiac pendants, this one is a nice alternative to expensive jewelry.
Final Thoughts: My experience was a positive one! I’m happy with the items I received, but it did take some time browsing the site to find something I liked. Expect the quality to reflect what you pay for and if it turns out better than expected then that makes it all the more amazing!
