Press-On Nails
I have developed an obsession with press-on nails.
For about a year now, I've been more adventurous with my nails. To be honest, I got tired of painting my own nails, but still wanted an easy at-home solution.
My biggest issue has always been constantly picking at my nails right after I paint them. And with nail strips, I still felt the same urge to tear them right off after they were on.
So one day, I decided to try press-on nails and my whole life changed! I know, it sounds silly. However, they truly are the best at-home solution for me. I'm not great at nail art and press-ons have so many options available with designs, colors, shapes, and lengths.
The best thing about press-ons is that they use dual-layer adhesive (like a sticker). There’s no fuss with glue or waiting for them to dry. It literally takes minutes to pop them. I’ve even gotten compliments that turned into surprise when I mentioned that my nails were press-ons!
Depending on the brand and preparation, I’ve had my nails last up to three weeks. However, they are also easy to remove which is great when I have the urge to change my nails after a week or so!
Below are my three go-to brands whenever I’m looking for new designs.
Finger Suit
Wavy Design | Baby Boomer | Teddy Bear
Finger Suit is best for long lasting nails. They provide fashionable nails in order to stay on trend with the fashion industry. From minimal to bold styles, Finger Suit has an option for every person to express their own style.
There aren’t too many options for short lengths, but Finger Suit nails can be easily trimmed while still remaining sturdy.
Dashing Diva
French Kiss | Strawberry Sweetness | Honey Sparkle | Starfish Waters | Pastel Wave
Dashing Diva seems to have the best options when it comes to various lengths and designs. When I want a shorter, but still stylish nail, I tend to browse Dashing Diva.
It can be a bit hit or miss with the duration of the press-ons sticking. However, I think it all comes down to how you prep your nails before application. I’ve had nails fall off after a couple days. But whenever I’m more mindful, my nails last for about two weeks.
imPRESS
Replacement Adhesive Tabs | Shine On You | New Wave | Russet
imPress has my favorite minimal and solid color press-ons. They do have a lot of fun designs, but there are also so many options for single color nails too!
Prepping your nails also plays a big factor into how long the nails will last. Luckily, imPress has now come out with replacement tabs so you don’t have to buy another set just to replace a couple nails!
