Butterfly Blossom
Two of my constant favorites will always be butterflies and flowers. It's very evident in past and current work, spanning across varying interests. They just add a little bit of extra happiness to my day.
As I explore jewelry making, I continue to be drawn towards flowers and butterflies. I think my favorite pieces will always be the Blossom Collection and Sky High Butterfly earrings. I'm just obsessed with the floral design and charms!
Butterflies have always represented some sort of rebirth to me, one that brings a positive change and hope. We are constantly evolving our style, beliefs, and interests to the point where we become another version of the person we were before. No matter how many times you need to, you can always change and grow into the person you want to be.
And while flowers have multiple different symbolisms, to me, they’ve always represented pure beauty, growth, and strength. There is no competition between flowers. They grow at their own pace and bloom when the time is right. Each and every one is beautiful and unique in it’s one own, just like every person.

When I started FLORA, I didn't exactly have a detailed plan. I just wanted to create something that brought me joy, which ended up also bringing a sense of happiness to others as well. I realized I didn't want to just stop at candle making. To be honest, there was still a part of me that was holding back my interests in order to not step on anyone's toes who were already crafting such beautiful jewelry pieces.
It's a bit silly as there are already numerous candle companies. But in my mind, I had friends who were already successful with handcrafted jewelry and I didn't want to invade their space.
But I always dreamed of having a shop that sold fashion items from the very beginning. And with my venture into crafting, I threw all doubts aside in order to accomplish everything that I've always wanted to try. I'd never know if I truly enjoyed jewelry making if I never tried!
And I’m so glad I did try! I started with creating floral earrings and immediately fell in love. It expanded into experimenting with resin and different colors and then onto necklaces. Each piece has some sort of floral or nature element. It’s like carrying a beautiful bouquet with you wherever you go!
These items also make the perfect, unique gift to any loved one! I’ve had multiple comments from friends who have purchased items for themselves and for others. Whether it is a birthday gift or a special occasion, flowers are always a nice gesture. It warms my heart to know that through my whole journey of crafting, I’m able to bring a little happiness to someone else.
I’ve always been the type of person who enjoys gifting and giving back. In a way, FLORA accomplishes both. I get to create items that I actually care about, just as if I were making something for any of my loved ones. On top of that, I donate a part of the proceeds from every purchase to various non-profit organizations that I believe in such as The Sierra Club Foundation and NAMI.
All in all, I want to have a space that leaves a positive impact. I strive to continue to find sustainable solutions for my small business from crafting materials to shipping items. And I hope my flowers will continue to bring joy to others.

With any business, there are always obstacles to overcome. However, I discovered an overwhelming support from friends and strangers. I didn't even know that there were people who would be genuinely interested in my work— candles or jewelry. I appreciate all the love and every time I see a new order my heart is filled with gratitude.
It’s been quite a journey understanding what I want to pursue and how. But now I feel like I am finally blooming! I learned that even though others might be doing the same thing, we all have a different perspective and unique voice.
As cliché as it sounds, pursue everything that piques your interest. It is the only way you’ll discover if you truly love doing something. Even if it scares you, jump right in! As long as it doesn’t hurt others, there is no harm in trying different activities. They could ultimately turn into careers or just pleasant hobbies.
