Cholla Cactus Garden
Joshua Tree National Park is a popular travel destination and there are so many places to explore within the park! Some places I didn't even know existed until after a second visit. It is definitely worth it to spend a couple days around Joshua Tree if you have the time. One of my new favorite spots is Cholla Cactus Garden!
It is best to stick to the trails as the cactus burrs tend to fall, can easily stick to clothes or skin, and are difficult to remove. There is a reason why the cholla is known as the Jumping Cactus! The trails are short, but you can see the Cholla Cacti span for miles so you're still able to witness the beautiful garden without being in danger.
If you love cacti, Cholla Cactus Garden is a must-see area! The garden and trails are quite unique and beautifully different from the heart (Hidden Valley) of Joshua Tree. Driving down Pinto Basin Road also gives you a wonderful view of the whole area and a different perspective of Joshua Tree National Park.
